Levin Swedler Kennedy Gets Heart Healthy

Levin Swedler Kennedy - American Heart WalkImagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20% by 2020! Heart disease is a silent killer that affects an unbelievable number of people every year.

On September 13th, 2014, Levin Swedler Kennedy participated in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk at the University of Akron.  Our firm participated to support those who have suffered from heart disease and to promote awareness of the importance of being physically active to lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and to live a longer healthier life.

Our goal was to raise $2,000. In Levin Swedler Kennedy - Top Walker 2addition to general donations, our firm held several internal fundraisers such as $5.00 jeans day, a change collection jar, and a raffle for an extra day of paid time off.  We had a total of 12 walkers who helped raise 117% of our firm’s goal. It was a huge success.

We would like to thank all of our 12 walkers and everyone that donated from the bottom of our hearts to help us reach our goal.  Also, special thanks to our team leader Andrew Perkins for organizing our team and donation page and to Debi Ondrik, who met her personal goal of raising $1,000.
